Actually the storm was raging pretty well outside at this time. There was rain but it was shifting over to snow and there was a lot of wind. Tree breaking wind. Neal and Big Bob skied to the end of the Six Mile Road and took a look at the rain water being whipped into ripples on top of the ice as the north wind brought it down to the end of the road and said, "No way! No way are we going to try to ski into that wind with that much water sloshing around on the ice."
